Stained Glass Pine Tree Card

Stained Glass Pine Tree Card

I started by stamping our Oval Stained Glass stamp top center of my 4" x 5 1/4" white card using black pigment ink

I immediately stamped our Double Pine Trees right on top using the same pigment ink, then embossed it using clear embossing powder.  (Hint:  the embossing makes it much easier to color in all the small segments of the stained glass, but please make sure your markers are compatible with embossing.  If you're not sure, skip that step)

Now comes the fun part - coloring :)  I started on the trees and then moved onto the sky starting with yellow on the bottom.

As I added my 2nd sky color, a darker yellow color, I did a little blending to the top row of yellow.

My 3rd color was a light orange (which is hard to see in the photo), and then a regular orange (4th color) always blending with the top row of the lighter color below.

I finished off with the top rows in red, my 5th and final color.

Once I had my image colored all I added was the Enjoy Today sentiment in the bottom right corner and then I mounted it on a folded black 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card
